About DC Punk
This is a collection of fliers advertising performances that took place at d.c. space in 1989.Located at 7th and E street in downtown Washington, DC, d.c. space served as the primary venue for punk music and other DIY events. Some of the fliers even advertize the 9:30 club, a neighbor to d.c. space, as being an alternate performance location. The fliers vary in style, description and performances. DCPL obtained these particular fliers from Cynthia Connolly, a photographer and curator from Washington, DC, who worked for Dischord Records and d.c. space. In 1988 she published, Banned in DC: Photos and Anecdotes From the DC Punk Underground.
